Playlist: Study Abroad in Europe

I like to think of my life as a movie with an excellent soundtrack, the music swelling with my emotion, the lyrics fitting the situation perfectly. To make that happen, I often compose my own playlists to fit my moods, the seasons, and the places I'm traveling to. It's a great way to set the mood for your travels -- as long as you remember to unplug and take in the sounds of your destination once you arrive.

The playlists I'll be posting have songs by artists from the destination, ones where the lyrics are spot on, or ones that simply fit the mood of the city. For this first playlist post, I'll keep it simple. When my sister decided to study abroad this semester, I made her a playlist with a song for some of the major cities she planned to visit.

So here it is: the "Study Abroad in Europe" Playlist:

1. "London Calling" - The Clash
2. "Amsterdam" - Coldplay
3. "Paris" - Kate Nash
4. "From Paris to Berlin" - Infernal
5. "Barcelona" - Rufus Wainwright
6. "Rome" - Phoenix
7. "Vienna" - Billy Joel
8. "Prague" - Damien Rice
9. "Budapest" - Reindeer Section
10. "Istanbul" - They Might Be Giants
BONUS TRACK: "Jude Law and a Semester Abroad" - Brand New

Did I miss your favorite city or song? Feel free to leave suggestions on expanding this playlist in the comments!
